It was Friday. It had been a long week. We wanted cocktails. Our usual haunt, Bergers, was closed for renovations and so we were forced to look around for something else.
Like a beacon green light across New York waters, the sign for Joel shone out for us from across the road. I have no idea how long it’d been there since we had never noticed it before. But we had a nice outdoor table since the weather was nice and it was a very pleasant evening in Joel’s company.
Both myself and my friend had the chicken (above) which, while a little small (it was about 13 euros and came with a big basket of bread) was very very yummy.
And the cocktails! The waitress was pushy for us to have the 6 euro special of the day (was it a mai tai? I can’t remember) but they were delicious and kept coming.
Though we didn’t get the chance to sample everything from the menu (both food wise and drinks wise), I do think that Joel is a very good go-to cocktail bar. The staff were pretty friendly, too!
You can find Joel at Berger Straße 83, Frankfurt
